Penelope Leach has hosted a web chat about her new book on hugely popular Mumsnet site here and here.

Hear Penelope Leach talking about her new book on Jeremy Vine (Radio 2) here and on Woman’s Hour (Radio 4) here.

Family Breakdown: Helping Children Hang on to Both Their Parents has attracted widespread media coverage elsewhere.

Extracts are in the Daily Mail here and here. There is also a feature in the Guardian here.

Written by MPG director Penelope Leach, the world-renowned child development expert, the book explains to parents – and everyone else involved, from judges and lawyers to friends and family members – what they can and must do to ensure that children come through separation with the minimum of emotional damage and pain.

All proceeds of the book – once publishing expenses have been met – are, thanks to Penelope’s generosity, going to MPG so that it can achieve its ambitious aims.

Justine Roberts, CEO of Mumsnet, says: “With typical insight and without passing judgment, Penelope Leach addresses a subject that is, for many, an inescapable aspect of modern parenting. Separation may be unavoidable, but separating badly does not have to be: Leach shows us how to go about it in the best possible way, for children-and adults”.
