Policy Areas
We want a range of effective family support measures that swiftly work to mend broken Britain: we have identified low-cost solutions that provide help where it is most needed.
Our key aim is to restore psychological well-being, together with self-motivation and responsibility, to families and communities, and to thereby ensure that children are given the best possible start to life.
Through the publication of original academic research and by making practical recommendations to Government, we will promote a more humane, psychologically-aware and “mindful” society
Our central belief, based on sound scientific evidence, is that most psychological problems can be traced back to the early formative years of an individual’s life; it is here that intervention and support should be focused.
Nipping such problems in the bud is much more effective and far less expensive than treating entrenched problems, the symptoms of which are crime, addiction and an inability to cope with life.
We want multi-disciplinary radical approaches that ensure that the best and most effective treatment measures are framed and made available. This will end the current hotch-potch of inadequate responses to problems such as bullying, addiction and crime.
We are campaigning to train nurses in GP practices so that they can support families who are having difficulties in bringing up children; the earlier that help is available, the better.
MPG wants television producers to stop making programmes that exploit children. Reality shows such as Channel 4′s Boys and Girls Alone use them as guinea pigs.
